Our founder, John Arends, started his residential real estate career in 1973 in Mankato, Minnesota. In 1984 during the real estate boom, he and his wife Judy brought their three daughters to Colorado Springs. In the late eighties, Colorado Springs had been dubbed "The Foreclosure Capital of the U.S.A.," and the perception was that no one could be successful in real estate. Through hard work and clever marketing, John proved them wrong, and he built a team of dedicated agents and support staff who achieved local and national recognition for the next twenty years. John set the bar of real estate standards high. Following his death in January 2008, his team continued his quest to assist as many people as possible in achieving the dream of homeownership.
